The Buffalo National River Partners (BNRP) would like to invite you to join us on Sunday June 13th at 9am for a riverwide cleanup of the Buffalo National River. The plan is to target a section of the river in each of the three districts. Tentatively we are looking at Hasty to Carver (upper) Bakers Ford to Tyler Bend or Tyler Bend to Gilbert (middle) and Spring Creek to Hwy 14 (lower). Suggested tools to bring include shovels, picks, pruners, saws, knives, rope and duct tape. Trash bags will be provided. Contact Laura Timby at
ldtimby@ritternet.com for more information and meeting locations.

I will be on some section of the Buffalo Sunday with water. Made a poie to get cans off of the bottm of the river, by bolting a landing net to a 2x2 cedar pole we had lying around.Add to that 3 mesh bags, a long handled hoe s bow saw, a bow saw, and an entrenching tool, and I am set for a clean up.
Now, pray for rain.

An update from Laura.
This coming Sunday, June 13th, is the scheduled river cleanup on the Buffalo. Three seperate sections of the river are being targeted. Upper river will
be the section from Hasty to Carver-more will be added if water levels and volunteers permit-meet at 9am at the Hasty put in. The contact for the upper river is Aletha Petty 870-743-2639 or
aletha.jasper@yahoo.com The middle river section will be from Bakers Ford to Tyler Bend. We'll add Tyler Bend to Gilbert if we have enough volunteers. Meet at the Tyler Bend launch area at 9am. The contact for the middle river is Laura Timby at 870-504-1647 or
ldtimby@ritternet.com The lower river section will be from Spring Creek to the Hwy 14 bridge. Meet at the Hwy 14 bridge parking area at 9am. The contact
for the lower river is Roy Stovall at 870-736-0505 or
roy.stovall@suddenlink.net Volunteers are also free to sign up and do different sections if they wish.
Participants should bring water and a lunch as well as some tools for extracting tires and debris from the river. A shovel, pick or hoe, and a long handled grabber would be helpful. Trash bags will be provided. A hat, sunscreen and good river shoes would also be a good idea. Contact Laura 870-504-1647 if you have any questions.

I am thinking about coming over for this. Will be my first time floating the Buffalo, but the cleanup will give me a chance to meet some people and learn a little bit about the area.
Will there be shuttle options back to our vehicles?
