Lost canoe on Frog (RESOLVED/HAPPY ENDING) (Probably NOT)
Lost canoe on Frog (RESOLVED/HAPPY ENDING) (Probably NOT)
Lost Light Blue Mohawk on the frog river, one mile past Chester on May 15th. Please call 479-466-1251 if found, thanks.
NOTE BY BOOFMASTER: I assume based on the last post that by now the owner has recovered the boat. If not true, post or send me a PM and I'll edit appropriately.
UPDATED 10-2-10: Based on the latest posts, the canoe was seen again, then disappeared, but we do not know if it was original owner who recovered it.

I don't know if he ever recovered his
canoe or not. It was under a huge logjam.
I got in touch with him and told him
where it was, but never heard from him
again.

Sounds like a good opportunity to practice z-drag systems.Sir Kayakalot wrote:I don't know if he ever recovered his

That canoe wasn't coming out without
some chainsaw work.

Not a problem. (if it is still there after all this time) At current water levels, probably can walk or wade right to it.Sir Kayakalot wrote:That canoe wasn't coming out without

My next question, can you spot the location on Google Earth and then use that to give me some GPS coordinates? On the off chance that happens before the Lee Creek clean-up, who knows what tools might "accidentally" find their way into the trunk of DeBo's car.

I don't think the boat is there now. It was
located right before you enter the gorge section,
on river right. At high water there is a chute
to the right that isn't runnable due to all the
strainers and the logjam the canoe was under.
The biggest problem is at low water, you would
be on private property if you tried to clear any
of that mess out.

Too bad. Sounded like a mission worthy of breaking out the old saw...
