Report from the Tot....

Post by wdwlodge » Sun May 02, 2010 9:44 pm

Hayden and I had a great day on the Tot Sunday. Successful run through the meat of the falls (including the machine) without a swim. Thanks to Scott H and the great support group for their patience and sharing their wisdom. We learned more on reading a river in one day than we have learned in the year we have been paddling.
Thanks again guys!!! I owe you one

You guys did great, keep getting in some river time and you'll soon be running laps on the Falls as well. :D

No problem. Good boating with you. Keep an eye out for posts about Dierks running some weekend and I will introduce you to big hole punching/playing.

Dee, Sean and I were privileged to have Hayden with us for Whitewater School on Saturday. He told us that he and his Dad would probably bail on Sunday and head to the Tot if it came up.

When I got up on Sunday and checked the gages I knew where Hayden would be on Sunday! We were jealous that we couldn't go with him but glad that he was able to go with his Dad!

He hung around Sunday morning long enough to make sure we knew what his plans were and we appreciated that! Would love to have seen his run through the esses and the falls.
