Paddling Sunday 4/25, SFLR, Snow, Cadron?

Depending on levels, would like to see the SFLRed again. At 6:15pm, Gulf Mtn WMA gauge is up at 5'. Snow creek or even NoGo sounds good too if there.

I'd be interested in the SFLR if it holds. Given the other options, I'd me game even if it's on the low side. I think Mike and Liz are thinking that direction, too...
Will check back early in the am to see where we settle on and meet up time.

Judy and I might be interested in SFLR, but need someone who knows the logistics. That's been on our list for some time. Call me 417 225 8509.

GMWMA gauge is still 4.5 this am. Cole is on board for a 9am Hwy 65 Conway Exxon meeting time. Does that sound ok to ya'll?

I was curious what section of SFLR your crew would be paddling? Always wanted to check the scenery on SFLR. We are thinking about puting the puma on the lower section. Any Advice?

For sure, we won't be doing Sec 1, not enuf water, probably II and/or III. Puma will do fine, and you'll have Puma company.
Meet at the Conway Exxon "On the Go (Run?)" or sumthin like that, just north of Hwy 65 and I-40, or up at the Clinton McD's on the north side of town.
Outta here to go eat breakfast.

What a beautiful day on the SFLR. Hadn't been on this creek for quite a while, and it's such a nice little run. The log that had been blocking the far right channel at "cathedral bluff" is finally gone, and being able to take that far right channel really lets you take in the full bluff. I don't recall paddling the SFLR this late in the year (although maybe I have) but the lush green at the bluff made it seem almost tropical.
There are a couple new trees down to be aware of (although all are in plain view - they won't surprise you). Cowper has already requested GPS coordinates to put this on a summer or low water "to do" list, so I'll see if Mike might be able to give him some 411.
The SFLR is a nice "step up" from other class II runs like the Mulberry or Cadron because the rapids are just a bit more technical and require more maneuvering and reading the water. Not class III or too pushy, but just a little more there to hone new skills.
Thanks Chester, Terry, Paul, Judy, Cole, Mike and Liz for a great day!
Oh yeah: ice cream from Baskin Robbins on way home. YUM!
