I thought this footage was too good to just sit on my computer so I finally got it edited.

excellent work Scott.
Been hearing about Rio Embudo for years when paddling Lower Box.
Your video confirmed what I had been told that it was one long big time rapid. Any idea of the level?
Thanks for all the work shooting and editing.
Good Stuff!!!!

This was shot with my Sanyo Waterproof HD but I was having a little trouble creating a video file that I could get loaded to the net so this link is to a low res/small file version of the video. Under my Facebook page is another higher res version of the video.

This Rio has a small window between too low and too high. To quote American Whitewater “This is one of those runs where inches of difference on the gauge equates to feet of difference in the water level in the gorges.”
The level we had was the low side of optimal 2.9-3.0. And this is on a visual gauge. We all agreed we would not want much more water, maybe 3.2 max as the push and holes would step up quickly.
