Campsites for WW school

I going up Friday morning do I need to resurve a site or will there be plenty. First time to go so we don't know what to expect. Would like to paddle Friday also if any one is interested

Hi there,

Actually, not only do you not need to reserve a site...you cannot reserve sites at Turner Bend for the weekend of WW School. It's first come first served and there will be a LOT of folks. If you get a "site" - don't think it's now "your" site, as everyone will need to share and really tents will be set up just about everywhere. No, this is NOT a quiet, wilderness camping experience. Think more Woodstock for paddlers!

Having said that, if you need more space and quiet, Brad at Turner Bend will be opening up a special overflow camping area, so you can ask about that at the store if you're interested. In the past the "quiet" area was down by the gazebo, but this year they are offering another separate area.

I'll be up there early as well...it's going to be a great weekend! :D
