Two things.
You People in Eastern AR., get up early Monday morning and see if you can spot the shuttle coming in for a landing. Supposed to be visible from St. Louis to Tupelo, MS.
Second--I has a question. Along I440 between I40 and the bean field (the area between I440 and 67/167) is a wildlife refuge. I drive by there a lot and see an occasional car/truck parked on the edge. The area is extremely wet, set aside for birdlife. What are folks doing in there? They can't be duck hunting or hiking, its too wet. It is usually a lone vehicle, sometimes two and they're not parked together, so they aren't "keeping company".
Are the frogging? Turtling?
Just curious.

I've felt the touch of healing hands, neath the willow trees and birch, cause the water's my religion, and the river is my church. Kenny

I'm not positive about this, but I believe that the land closest to 440 is owned by the Dept of Transportation, and that there is privately owned land behind and to the south of it. I think there are people fishing on the pond. I don't know what they are doing if they are around the slough.
