Hey guys,

I'm hoping to be headed out to Colorado shortly, so I just bought a atlas and gazetteer for the state. Since I'm a student I can print off as much of anything as I want, so I was going to print off as much river/creek info as possible. I looked on AW and most creeks don't have descriptions or things to watch out for, so I was hoping some of you guys might know a website more like Fish's. It would be really sweet to get out there with a big map and a binder full of creeks and directions. Thanks for the help

Eddyflower.com has the best beta online for the Rockies. Really if you spent the money to get "Whitewater of the Southern Rockies" you would be set, it is kind of expensive, but the potential of boating in the state increases exponentially. Also CRC 1 and 2 are good guides that you may be able to pick up for cheap now that WOFTSR is out.

And yes I know printing the material off and putting it in a binder could serve the same purpose, but the ways in which they breakdown drainages/areas and the runs that fall into those areas makes it really easy to get a good idea of the spatial range you have.

If you can get your hands on an old copy of the "Book of Death" version 1 or 2 (the CRC), it'll steer you well. I can't even afford the new WSR - that thing looks nice but it'll set you back some semi-serious cash.

If you're heading that way and want to hook up with some locals, let me know. I know a few folks in the front range.

Thats a really good deal, I think I paid $45 for my copy and that was on some type of sale two years ago on Amazon. Generally it is around $60 bucks (plus shipping or tax) to pick up the book.

Yeah, I need to break down and buy WSR for that price. It's a very good guide and I'm 4 hrs closer to Colorado than I used to be.
