Glue Question

Post by prophet » Fri Mar 19, 2010 7:43 pm

have always used Weldwood contact cement to glue foam to royalex with good results until now. The current Weldwood (green label) isn't holding and seems much thinner than i remember instead of thick and gooey. bad can? or change of recipe? or is it an operator error

Grant, if you did it before and you did it the same way this time, got to think a bad can. Check with the company or distributor. I found that if you do a very small application in an out-of-the way spot that you can check the results prior to big things.

Yah - the green is water based, and I think nice and safe and non-toxic. You need the red can which will kill your brain cells if you inhale too much of it, but it works!!!
