Whitewater School - Women's Class

Post by dcheshier » Mon Mar 08, 2010 12:42 pm

Diane Barton, Diane Cheshier, and Jennifer Curtis will teach a women’s only class at Whitewater School. This class is for women who already have some experience on moving water and are looking to take their boating to the next level. Those interested in joining the class should be able to paddle their boat in a straight line on flat water, have paddled whitewater at least 5 times in the last year, and be familiar with ferries, peelouts, and eddy turns. A roll is not required, but the ability to self-rescue is! This class will be an opportunity for women paddlers to improve their skills, push their limits, and build confidence in a friendly and supportive atmosphere.

Class size will be limited to 6 paddlers and will be filled on a first-come-first-serve basis. Women interested in being a part of the class will need to note on their on-line registration form that they want to be in the women’s class; you can do this in the part where it asks who you would like to take the class with.

Really want to participate; however, if the rains
come down as last year....... :(

Recommend a backup plan! Hope to see you Diane!
