Volunteer Opportunity with the Nature Conservancy
The Nature Conservancy is currently conducting stream restoration on the Middle Fork of the Saline River. (Blog is located at http://streamrestoration.typepad.com/mi ... lineriver/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;). Next week, they’ll be planting 6,200 hardwood seedlings on the land that surrounds the site and need some volunteers.
The days they need help are Tuesday 2/16, Wednesday 2/17, Thursday 2/18.
They will be carpooling from the TNC office (601 N. University Ave in LR)
Tue 7:00am - 5:30pm
Wed 7:45am - 5:30pm
Thu 7:00am - 7:00pm
These are the times they’ll be leaving the office and the times by which they be back. TNC will provide lunch, but they do need to know any dietary restrictions. It is necessary to dress in sturdy, layered clothing, have durable shoes, and a water bottle and work gloves. The work can be labor intensive, but no prior knowledge is needed.

We are all afflicted with Cognitive Dissonance. The greater our religious, social, financial or political affiliation, the greater the affliction. We hear what we want to hear. We believe what we want to believe. Truth becomes irrelevant.
Re: Volunteer Opportunity with the Nature Conservancy
Thanks for posting Richard. I plan to be there on Tuesday.
