I'm looking into buying a waterproof digital and was wondering if anyone had any experience with either the Olympus Stylus Tough, or the FujiFilm finepix. I really don't want to spend more than about 250 and these seem to be my only options. Any and all opinions are welcome.

I like my Olympus. Picked it up last year at Sam's for $140ish.

I have the Olympus stylus tough, the newest one with 12 megapixels and took most of my pics in Alaska in July with it and got great pics. Took some video while rafting with it and really good video. I have had it several months now and really like it.

I've been using a stylus tough 6000 for about 6 months now with no issues. I like it because:
1. It has a panorama setting which is cool
2. Image stabilization
3. allows for multiple succesive shots with the drive feature. ( I did not realize this was on there till today and was previously dissappointed by the slow recovery time.) I do turn it down to 3 megapixel to aid in the recovery time between shots.
the only thing I am not impressed with is the zoom. It ain't much.
Hope this helps.
Steve

I've got an Olympus Stylus Tough also...No complaints and it takes excellent pictures. The panoramic is fun to play around with. I got an extra battery for long trips on e-bay for $1 !

Haha...I wondered why they put that on the "Tough" model waterproof camera myself....But some normal people might actually use this function...for portraits and whatnot. It does something with skin hues/tones and sh** like that so everyone can look sexy when they are makin the pucker face going off a big drop!

Perspective,
Some of your shots look taller than others. Did you crop them or did you use Panorama?

No Steve, they should all be the same size except for the really wide ones which are panoramics. And the cabin fever is pretty bad this time of year...we're sooo close! Good time to hike and backpack though, with no bugs and or dense brush to trudge through.
