Mulberry River Clean Up Day (March 6)

Post by Turner Bend » Tue Jan 19, 2010 8:31 am

The annual Mulberry River Clean Up Day is set for Saturday March 6th. We always have a really impressive turnout for this volunteer event. This year the need is even greater than normal because of the flash flood that ripped through the valley just before Halloween. Turner Bend will once again provide a cookout for all participants and there will be lots of door prizes provided by area merchants. If rained out we will reschedule for Sat March 13th. Call 479-667-3641 for details. Thanks. brad wimberly

Well dang. Work just ganged up and grew in all around me and there is no escape from it on the 6th at this point.

I hope that some other person doesn't mind picking up my slack on the trash and free food eatin and beer drinkin

Of all the creek cleanups that I have ever participated in this one is my most favorite.

Brad sure knows how to arrange these things real well......Plus he has free  for the volunteers

Last year was officially the coldest and snowiest creek cleanup I ever particpated in.

Got to love that extraordinary resource water just like the rest of 'em. even in the snow.

To help with some of the door prizes, Pack Rat has donated a couple of gift cards.

May the weather and levels be perfect!!

The Mulberry is my main river! I live just down the road from it. Plus I don't work on Saturdays. I'll be there!
Aw! It's just rocks and water! What could go wrong?

You can bring your kayak or not. My kid isn't kayaking yet so I'm planning to exploit his labor along the the dirt road to Campbell's Cemetary or somewhere. Cleaning along the roads on a bicycle is fun, too. There's no shortage of trash!
