I don't quite have the skills for the tot and I've been on the cadron more times than I can count. I thought it might be nice for a change of scenery to give the caddo a try, problem is that I can't find directions on the ozark pages. When I follow the link, it comes up blank. Any help would be appreciated.

hey a question i can answer.... the caddo parallels hiway 8 on the west between norman and glenwood... there are numerous put ins..... you can start as high as norman although i wouldn't recommend it.... there is access
at caddo gap on the county road , its a point where an old pedestrian swinging bridge used to be....good trip from here to glenwood.... just below caddo hills high school there is access at a creek that crosses the highway, it is less than 100 yards to the river..... a short distance down stream is the narrows and the river is plainly visible from hiway 8.... i think there are three
rental co. operating at this location..... next stop is glenwood which will be obvious several rental co. here and a nice game and fish public access area.. .... i have floated from glenwood to amity but i wouldn't recommend it.... a little slow for me.... the caddo may be the easiest river in ar. to access if you can find highway 8 your there..... hope this helps ....

With your numerous trips on the Cadron, I know you'll be squared-away on the Caddo, and really enjoy the change of river&scenery! The Caddo has some nice mountain vistas along several of the scetions, and this time of the year the water is sparkling clear and the gravel river bottom and bars are so pretty.
Just as a starting point, I would recommend the 7+ mile trip from ' the Narrows', just above the Hwy 240 bridge near Caddo Gap down to the Hwy 70 bridge at Glenwood. Both accesses are maintained by Caddo River Canoe and are two of the easiest accesses on the river.
As Johnny mentioned, there are several sections and accesses along the river. There is at least 45 miles of the Caddo floatable above Lake DeGray and I have enjoyed it all in various sections over time. As it warms up more this Spring, Marlo and I will certainly be heading there again!
Do visit with Ron Kurnik at Caddo Canoe for any assistance you may need for shuttles or information. In addition he has posted some levels
I suggested some time ago.

When you visit the Caddo Canoe link that Lifejacket posted, you'll see a shot I took of a group of college students in 'the Henderson Hiking Club' I made one day in the Spring several years ago ,at what I refer to as 'the Church Camp Rapid'. I just know you'll enjoy the Caddo so much!
