So I need to upgrade my paddle, and I'm looking for some advice.. I know I want a 0-10ยบ offset and a fairly long shaft (I'm 6'3" and can't get much power outta those little things) and my main use is river running. Any suggestions?

I am using a Werner Shogun.

Like the big blades and it floats pretty good which helps a bit on getting the paddle up for rolls.

You really need to try a paddle, you can't take someone's recommendation. Everyone seems to have different criteria for a good paddle so your going to get a lot of suggestions.

Also you need to find out who offers a paddle with a 0 -10% offset. That is not a common offset. so it might have to be custom made.

With that said, I'm 6'3" also and like AT paddles. I prefer foam core blades, bent shaft, in the 196/197cm range. From all the paddles I've tried, I believe AT offers good purchase on the water and no flutter. Which is what I look for. They are a little heavier, but no one can tell me why that should matter to me.

Other paddles I liked: Waterstick (out of business), Mitchell.
Paddles I don't like: Werner, Prijon, Aqua bound
Paddles I want to try: Riverstyx (aka Jimistyx), Backlund, Lendal

I have recently purchased a LL Remix XP 10 and I am 5'7" 165ish and I was wanting to know what a suitable design, length, brande etc. would be.
