best crossover sport for kayaking?

theres alot of down time in ark for paddlers rock climbing and mtb are at the top of my list

Climbing and backpacking come in handy for expedition kayaking. I like mountain biking too for the anaerobic bursts. The only drawback is the crashes can result in missed paddling time.

Mountain biking works out well because you ride when the trails aren't muddy, when they're muddy you go kayaking.

Outdoor Industry Foundation data indicates the most common crossover activities are mountain biking and trail running.

It takes a set to ride a fixie (brakeless road bike) and who needs mp3's.
