Leftover Salmon, the Boulder CO based Polyethnic Cajun Slamgrass band, has made available music for free download. This is to celebrate their 20 years of making music.

Follow the links to downloads pts. 1 and 2. One of the cuts is "The River's Risin'" if that helps make this a little more on topic. It may be of interest to folks in Fayetteville that another cut, John Hartford's "Up on the Hill Where we do the Boogie" was recorded at JR's Dickson Street Ballroom. Enjoy! Cal

Dave... It was 2 wks between the time they offered part 1 and 2. I would guess a similar time frame for additional music at jambase.com
You don't have to wait for more free LOS
Here is a link to a video of a festival set: http://iclips.net/watch/leftover-salmon-4" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
There is also a ton of free live music downloads at: http://www.archive.org/browse.php?colle ... %2Fcreator" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
You will find 278 live Leftover Salmon recordings for free download.
If you like to hear other bands that bend the bluegrass genre, there are over 1000 live recordings of Yonder Mountain String Band
You might as well check out Cornmeal (my favorite) as well. This site will have complete concerts available to stream or download. I would recommend streaming first since some of the sound quality can be poor. There are many good recordings so listen and then decide what you want to download. All of this is done with the permission of the bands involved. Have fun listening. Cal

Re: Free Leftover Salmon O/T
Wow, I had no idea this music was available for free down load.
I like this "blues syle bluegrass" a lot.
Growing up in North Georgia mountains I listened to a lot of blue grass from the mountains and rock and roll from the Atlanta radio stations.
thanks for the info.
Gives me a reason to buy some type of Ipod. I thought the CD disks were an awesome step up from tape and from what I hear the Ipod units are neat as well especially if they have a plug into the car radio
