Water recycling program (for a lost freind)

Post by rickyrod » Wed Nov 11, 2009 1:07 pm

Just dawned on me how many times one rain can offer so many whitewater opps. on one feeder alone. IE: big rain first spot bigcreek(1),when that runs out you got the playhole on hawcreek 8 miles downsteam(2),downstream theres the shut-in-botoms run to the freeman hole playspot(3), freemanhole ledges. top ledge tansforms from wave at above 1100 cfs to surf hole down to 500 cfs(4),feeding the Poteau river that dumps into wister lake fueling the Wister Wave(5). two thursday's ago I started following that six inches we got on the state line, followed it this route till this last weekend at Wister. all the time thinking about our good freind who past on. and the reason I chased this rain so badly. miss you buddy.

If I were a Raindrop...
I open my eyes to darkness, confusion,a bright flash, and the crecendo of thunder suddenly to be released from the Heavens above to a more peaceful decent...not knowing where, what,or why...but still peaceful...it feels as though it is a long decent...I soon realize it was only seconds...then confusion...the place I've been in is no more...once again confusion...peaceful hands surround me...throughout my travels thusfar I have been guided, now I feel as though I am on my own...as I flow I realize I am not the only one on this path...the stream ahead is too narrow for all of us...we must branch off...promising to meet again...a sweet but sad deparutre...once again things narrow and get more intense...my travels get more difficult...which way do I go??? Those with sharp edges,we will try to smooth...the rest I shall caress...Miss You My Friend...
Did I mention...I LIKE PURPLE SNOWCONES!!!

Tom, I don't read much poetry, but did you write that? That is the sweetest poem I have ever read.
And Michelle, I'm with you, the song life goes on has been in my head ever since that sad rainy day in Texarkana.
