If any of you got stuck in LR area working and couldn't paddle some of the creeks and rivers flowing today, I hear Norrell spillway is running, low but runnable. Rick and I will be there around 5:30 today for some laps after work if it is still there.

BMartin,
The sun came out this afternoon and I decided to ride my little m.cycle
up to Norrellco for a look. I was there at the spillway about 4:15pm and it did look low but floatable, I'll look forward to your report. Earlier in the day I was over in the area of Lonsdale, Ar., and the Tenmile Cr. It always looks good from the Tenmile Rd. bridge, I wish sometimes I could explore it but I'm sure it's just full of wood.
Best Regards
Jim

Rick and I made 4 laps on a low to medium level, some with better lines than others, but no major carnage to report although there was a nervous moment or two with a backwards move through the zig zag up top and some bumpy slow sideways drops into some small holes. We mixed up the runs a bit. Rick ran 2 laps in a patched creek boat and 2 in a play boat, and I ran it twice with hand paddles and twice with a shaft. I think Rick may have finished off his creeker with a bigger crack in his hull. All in all a great after work quickee.
Wood Report: We scouted the entry from the lake over the spillway and noticed there is a small downed sycamore that could cause trouble a little ways downstream form the sipllway. If anyone is thinking of a run from the lake, bring a saw, a hand one would be sufficient.
