What are pool times now for Wed and Sat?
Re: UALR POOL SESSIONS 10-14 & 10-17
6 - 8pm on Wednesday and I think it's 2 - 5pm on Saturday.

Re: UALR POOL SESSIONS 10-14 & 10-17
I showed up last night (10-14) around 6:30 and appeared to the only boater there. The door was shut, and most of the lanes were full of swimmers. So I figured I'd missed the memo saying there was no roll session that night and went back home. But I checked today for a memo and didn't see one. Am I missing something? Thanks.

If you are the first one (or only one) there, then you'll need to be the one who goes inside and rolls the hose out and opens the door. I try to get someone to just open the door for me so I don't have to walk all the way around. If no one will open the door, then go in the main entrance. I take my paddle so it's clear I'm one of the kayakers, and I just walk right pass the desk and through the pool doors that say "do not enter." Then I go get the hose and put it out. If you walk like you know what you're doing, I find no one stops you!
Similarly, if you are the only one there/last one out, you'll need to be sure to turn the hose off at the end of the night and coil it back up.
If you've never been the one to turn the hose on or off: the large metal key like thing turns the water on/off. Tips for re-coiling: the re-coiling goes much better if you do NOT pull all the hose back to where you want to coil. Just coil and pull the hose in as you go. This may be obvious to some, but it wasn't to me when I took over doing it, and it took me several hose-wrestling sessions to get a good system down! LOL!
Right now I don't think a lot of "regulars" are going, but you can still use the pool if Joe has posted that it's open to us.
Cheers,
H

Thanks, Heather. I hadn't been in a while and had never been when there weren't 4-5 boaters there already. Thanks for the hose-wrangling tips.
Is the kayak crowd typically any larger on Saturday afternoon? I may come back then -- even if I am the only one.

Re: UALR POOL SESSIONS 10-14 & 10-17
As a general rule of thumb: if there's flowing water...very few folks will go to the pool. Since there's going to be lots of water this weekend, I doubt hardly anyone will be there.
Once we get later in the season more folks will probably start coming. I've just been either busy at work (Wed's), or out on the water (Saturdays).
Also, if I know others are going to be there, particularly if someone wants any help, then I might make an effort to go. If not, then I'm less likely to go if I'm trying to catch up on work or other things.
Hope to see you on some water this weekend David...and not at the pool!

Yeah, for sure. I was on the Frog last weekend with Michelle Jackson and several others, but am tethered to town this weekend because I'm on call. Otherwise, I'd help with the Highway 65 clean-up Sunday.
