You might try the web sites. http://www.upperbuffaloriver.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and http://www.ozarkcabins.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
We've stayed at Leatherwood house. Walnut Grove, and Autumn Breeze. The Leatherwood House is tucked away by the Ponca wilderness high above Leatherwood Creek. Leatherwood creek flows into the Buffalo at the Ponca access. Would highly recommend this place. Autumn Breeze and Walnut Grove are nice too.
We've stayed at both Steel Creek cabins and didn't much care for them.
We've stayed at alot of places over the past 10 years, so we finally bought our own place just north of Pruitt.

What's the name of the place on the EFLB near Murray? The one with the Hippie Hut!

Re: Buffalo Cabins
We've stayed at Cub Creek Cabin a couple of times. Located between Ponca and Kyles Landing just off hwy 78. Couple of miles from the Horseshoe Canyon Ranch turn off. The cabin is just west of Mt Sherman. Managed by Crawfords Cabins. http://www.buffalorivercountry.com/cabins.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.
Cub Creek has wrap around porch, hot tub (though we've never used it), full kitchen, one bedroom downstairs and loft with two beds. Not fancy but very serviceable. Pretty reasonable on $, too.

found it. it's called River Spirit. They have a lodge and several cabins, but the coolest part of the property is the cob constructed hut, right on the river. Super cool place!

This is our favorite spot that's just a stone's throw from Ponca. Highly recommend the Stonewall Cabin at Rimrock Cove Ranch. Tell Toni & Dennis that Jeff & Karen from Rogers said Hello.

Re: Buffalo Cabins
here's a secret little place. A house on Cave Mtn. Road by Hawks Bill Crag.
Cave Mtn. Retreat. Tammy Clark owns it.
You can pm Mike Beebe and he'll tell you all the local places that may not be listed anywhere.
You should have paddled with all of us last weekend. Roger took us up to Granny's cabin and we couldn't get a boat parking place (too many boats waiting) for one place but we went up some cascading waterfalls that were BEAUTIFUL!
Don't forget to get Tim Ernst's books on where to hike up there. You can also go to his website http://www.cloudland.net" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
