Anyone want to head out east?

Was going to Austin this weekend but plans just fell through. Bought a new boat saturday, thinking about breaking it in out east...anyone want to get out of town this weekend?

There's a group from AR/MO headed out for some class V in West Virginia this weekend. Gauley, Yough, etc. Extra water out there right now to spice things up too. :shock:

Maybe not the best place for trying out a new boat, but if you know those rivers well might not be too much carnage. :)

I'll be headed out toward the Ocoee this weekend. I know of a AR group that is finishing up a WV/MD trip and headed back south that I might meet up with. Plans are loose at the moment, but if all else fails I have the Ocoee.

I too have a new boat I need more seat time in.

Hey, Ray thanks for the info for the Cheat, but it was too low for us and super cold. We just packed up and decided to head towards the TN area. We are in route to the Nolichucky and hope to catch it tomorrow if it hasn't dropped out. We will probably paddle on the Chattooga Thursday with our friend from Johnson City and then head to the Ocoee to camp somewhere Thursday night and paddle the Ocoee rest the week/weekend. When are you heading out? There's another group from AR headed out Wed. night (I think)

Headed out of Piggott 4pm on Friday. Should at the Ocoee by 11pm ET. Let me know where you all are camping.

That sucks about the level of the Cheat, that is a great run.
