Talk to me about Sugar Creek

Post by justin.payne » Fri Sep 18, 2009 11:14 am

Does anyone know if it will possibly be running Saturday? Also, are there are 2 bridges to port? Are the trees cleared out, or did it fill up again after this flood? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Probably going to need some rain to hold till Saturday. Both bridges you portage you drive over on the way to the put-in, so you can pick out a good place to get out on both ahead of time (there are eddies 80-100 yard range on river left above both bridges). There wasn't any wood that blocked the entire creek at any point yesterday, but there are a lot of willows and some wood that is easily avoidable.

If Sugar gets bombed the Kansas City crew may end up there on Sat. If not, it won't hold for a good run.

Holler at me Matt if you guys are heading down to the Tot and Vous.
