There is a chance that the Ouachita River teen float will be cancelled AGAIN this year due to high water. Apparently the gatekeepers at Remmel dam could feel that flood control is more important than our teen float.
We will not go at levels above 8,000 CFS. Currently they are releasing 8,370.

Assuming it is a go, please bring cold weather attire. The water temps and air temperature will be cool.

UPDATE - WE HAVE DECIDED THAT A MAXIMUM "HIGH" LEVEL FOR THIS FLOAT IS MORE LIKE 4000 CFS. MORE RAIN IS IN THE FORECAST SO BE AWARE THAT THIS TRIP MAY CANCEL IF IT IS TOO HIGH. PROBABLY WON'T KNOW UNTIL SATURDAY MORNING.
