I have a 13 foot Maravia brand raft and would like to purchase a frame that would support oars and seating. Are there any stores in Arkansas or folks who would sell me a used frame? I live in Russellville, Doug

here is another reasonable cost ready built frame or at least it looks good

again, no experience just passing on the info

No raft frame is cheap. I have had good luck with the NRS frames. Decide what you want and you can order individual parts. Start out with a very basic setup and gradually add more refinements as the money becomes available.

Most of the rafters here in the Arkansas Area seem to get their frames worked out and rarely sell them. Check mountain buzz msg board as they have a lot of raft gear in their for sale section.

I have seen basic raft frames made out of solid (not the el cheapo units) wood. Do a good job on bolting them plus glue and good varnish and they work pretty good.

Jacks Plastic Welding also has a section on home built frames you might check JPWINC.COM

I have a Skid-Guard frame I don't need that I'll sell cheap... $100. It should fit your 13' boat just fine. It makes for a bench seat for your passangers & works well. You can order towers and a seat on-line. If you're interested, email me at lecrane@comcast.net or call 501.993.3645 in LR. Crane
