Hi everyone! My name is Sabrina Mellor and I will be the instructor for the class at the lake, not Porterfield! Everyone in the class needs to be prepared for the class.
Parents this is for you, Make sure they have the right gear. I will post what the forcast is before class. In the past some of the students have not had enough clothing to stay warm, or no gear at all. If you need something let me know I have some spare gear that fits most kids in the class. I will also bring two extra boats, skirts, and paddles.
Let your children know that they will be wet and have to do a wet exit. Do not bring a sick child to the class as I will not allow them to padddle with the class. I don't want anyone to be dissappointed if they show up sick and can't boat. Please don't take this the wrong way, I am looking out for everyone's saftey and well being and that is all. Paddling sick is no fun anyway. I hope everyone understands. I really dont want this thread to be negative in anyway
I look forward to seeing all the Youth in the class and hearing from the parents and students if they like or have any questions.
