LAKE CATHERINE CLEANUP, FREE LUNCH & LAPTOP; Saturday 9/12

Saturday, September 12, 2009, is the date of this year's TRASH BASH at Lake Catherine (as well as other locations around the Hot Spings area). Bring your boat and help us remove litter from the lake! By doing so you will get a free lunch at Garvan Woodland Gardens, free admission to the Gardens for the afternoon, and a chance to win many door prizes including a Grand Prize of a laptop computer!

Meet at the boat ramp at Lake Catherine State Park at 8:00 a.m. to sign in and get your trash bags. We will pick up trash until 11:00 a.m. and then head for the picnic at the amphitheater at Garvan Woodland Gardens.

Lake Catherine State Park is easily reached from I-30; take exit 97 and follow highway 171 all the way to the park. Stay left and pass the swimming area to get to the boat ramp. Here's a link to a map which has a red star that is roughly across the lake from the boat ramp:
