For 2010 Jackson Kayaks will come in two different configurations and we're trying to get some feedback from the paddling community as to what you would like to see. We won't be able to stock both styles, so we're coming to YOU, the ACC, for assistance.

Seriously, it would be nice if JK would let people (and dealers) swap out something like that (Happy Feet for Foam Bulkhead). I really prefer the rest of the "Elite" package, but for that money, I'd rather not have to then buy, shape and install my own foam.

I have a Mega Rocker and a Super Hero and am extremely happy with both.

In my opinion, it is cross link plastic all the way. That is one main reason I went the Jackson route. Super linear plastic may have some benefits but if you want a boat that takes a pounding and comes back for more, I think cross link is the way to go.

Both my boats have the uni shock foot set up and I think that is the bomb! This is the best creeking set up I have ever had in a boat and I have had a lot of kayaks.


Thinking about a Super Fun but would toss the bean bag and make a custom foam setup for my feet.

I had the super hero on lower Yoch up in PA last week and just loved the ability to play plus run a bunch of creek lines made easy by the carving ability the super hero has on edge. I am very impressed with the Super Hero. Comfort is great and this is about as close to a do it all kayak as I have found.

The factory water bottle holder set up in my boats just sucks. So, I made my own out of gray foam and some velco straps that fits over the round bar and it works great. This is something JK should run with and make it better as a factory option. This is the only thing I have done on JK boat outfitting and this is the first boat ever for me where I did not have to spend a lot of work foaming out this and that

So far no problems with the ropes. Much improved over the test models I did not buy when these boats first came out. Since I creek in both these boats I would love to have spare ropes in both just in case. I think JK should include them in the package or make it easy to order them as I would gladly pay the extra cost. I still get a bit of slipage with the new setup, but it is not much of a problem and is more than made up for by the ease of adjustment.

Like I have posted above, I am super pleased with both these boats and wish I could have found them decades ago as I would have saved a lot of money.

Other than the water bottle holder and the spare ropes, both these boats perform better than advertised!!!!

I like the happy feet but I've broken two of those stupid bulbs in a month. Jackson needs to make the connections out of metal rather than plastic. But then again, at $10 apiece, why would they want to improve them?

I'm going to home depot today to see if I can rig something better up.

Like the overall package of the Elite much better, but never have really liked the happy feet. OK, I've only got very limited experience with them, so maybe they would grow on me if used more or if I were "better trained" in their use, but I've just always experienced a "squishy" feeling, where one foot pushes forward and the air shifts to the other side.

Since my next boat will most likely be a creek-capable model with the bulkhead system, this is not a major concern for me.
