Now that the recent rains have played out on some of our upper floats, we are headed back to the Ouachita tomorrow to float down from the dam. Interested parties welcome, meeting at the Ledge boat ramp about 12 noon to reload and shuttle on up.
Best Regards
Jim

Gonna check with my boss, I mean wife, and see if we're a go. Haven't been on a float since late June...I think I feel withdrawal symptoms coming on.

Hey Jim and crew,
I may get there a little before noon to meet up with Tim Muse and his family. They are taking a raft down. I will probably just throw on with them and leave my vehicle at the bottom so I can take people up. Anyway, we will see you at the put in or on the river.

Had a great afternoon on the river! Really enjoyed the trip. Enjoyed meeting y'all Jim & Marlo, Gary & Karla, Tony and his daughter Summer. Glad Tony brought Summer along. Hannah loved paddling with someone her own age. They hardly knew the rest of us were even there. Teenagers! Look forward to floating with y'all again. Hope to see you at rendezvous!

It was so nice to meet you, Chris, Felisha (sp), and Hannah. I'm very glad you all , as well as Tony&Summer, and our friends Gary&Karla came along to enjoy the Remmel float /water&scenery! I just know Felisha and I will get along well with our 'horticultural' topics! It was really nice to have so many other folks in another floating party along also. Very nice for me to meet All of you on the river! Nice to meet you Harlan&Adam! That's just the cutest little 'red-haired girl' :)
Best Regards
Jim

Jim,
To answer your question about spelling...it is Felicia. And I forgot to thank Marlo for letting me paddle her Remix XP10. If she hadn't been standing there with her paddle still in her hands I might have tried to help load it up.... on my Xterra that is. I saw where another paddler had posted a case of 'boat lust'... I think it must be contagious because I think I have it too!
Can I get the specs on Marlo's paddle? Felicia keeps badgering me about one of those. Might make for a good anniversary present next month.
Paddle safe
Chris

Chris,
That paddle Marlo has is a Werner Corryvrecken 210cm neutral bent shaft.
We both like the Corryvrecken very much, I also have one but mainly use mine with my Rec. boats. They are light weight and so very well constructed! You're right, they make great gifts. Check with the folks at OOO.
Best Regards
Jim

Had fun, too! It was exciting to see all the kiddos going down for their first time. Emeri, "the cute red-head" was quite the navigator for Mrs. Muse's raft! I was impressed that she rowed the whole way down....seems like a lot of work. Emeri made sure they didn't go in circles or run over butterflies or pretty leaves, but it was okay to run over dad :)
