Marlo and I are thinking about paddling the Dragover section tomorrow.
It looks like a hot day but the river level should still be in the optimum range :) I think we'll shoot for the Dragover CG about 10:30-11. Company welcome.

Best Regards
Jim

Gary and I will come too. Could we put in above at our friends place? Maybe he would go with us.

Mind if we tag along also? We can be there at any time, and can help with shuttling, if needed.

Looking forward to it, loading up the canoe now!

Minna,

11 will be just fine, if you can join us, please do!
Sunray&Eve, also do come, I've got to get some better pictures of those boats for Roger :) We may well have the shuttle taken care of, but will visit more at Dragover CG in the morning. See you all there.
Everyone bring some cool drinks and a little lunch.

Sounds good. We'll be there at 11.

Minna: From Mt. Ida go north on Hwy 27 for 10 miles, then take a left on Hwy 88. Go about 7 miles and then another left at the Dragover Campground sign. The campground is approx. 1 mile at the end of the dirt road.

Hi guys, thanks for letting us tag along today!

Amy and I had a great time on the river and had a blast meeting you all. The extra three miles upriver was a nice bonus that we would not have seen, nor probably would ever see, without meeting up with this fine group. We'll bring Purple Haze back anytime you need a barge huffing to keep up with ya :)

I was about to say, if I had a do over I woulda been on this trip. But I just read a mom's opinion of the back to school splash bash that we did today for our church kids. Wet games, give em school supplies, water gun wars. Now I gotta say it was worth it. Even if i woulda had more fun on the river.

Clif, you would have certainly been welcome today. The water was at a fun level but not quite as refreshing as right after the recharge of rain the other day.

Steve, It was a real pleasure to meet you and Amy today! I'm glad you enjoyed the day and we really do hope you two will join us whenever you can! Hope to see you at the Rendezvous in Sept. perhaps, or on the river again soon.

Thanks to everyone for a pleasant day and good company :)

Best Regards

Hi Jim & all,

Sorry to have missed floating with you guys yesterday. We weren't able to get away until the afternoon so put on at Dragover around 2:30 pm. It was such a beautiful day & water levels were wonderful. Marie came along & paddling my Saluda while I enjoyed playing in my "new" Hero - - what fun! Another friend, Anna, was also able to join us, so we had a nice little group. Dave was kind enough to provide any muscle needed :) & generally keep us goin' down the river!

Hopefully more rain is on the away & we'll SYOTR soon!
