Can anyone going to the 1 Day rescue class loan me a helmet?

Post by lbaker » Wed Aug 05, 2009 5:38 pm

I paddle a Wenonah Vagabond, solo, not a WW boat. I am going to the rescue class because I think it's a good idea. I have no plans to paddle ww, so even though I bought a wetsuit (which I will use later on) I would really only use the helmet this one event. If anyone has a spare on that's coming I'd really love to borrow (or rent) it. I've got a small noggin, (usually buy youth caps) so maybe borrow a son or daughter's that's not coming? Marcell has agreed I shouldn't buy one, but did recommend I try to borrow one. If no one has an extra, I'm sure something will work out.
Thanks,
Leigh

Hi Leigh,
We can bring our 13 y/o's helmet for you to use. Only been worn a couple times . . . don't need to worry about lice, etc. :)

Looking forward to meeting you.

I always bring an extra WRSI helmet when I help at the SWR courses just in case someone has a helmet that won't pass muster. It comes with several thicknesses of pads so you should be able to comfortably fit it to your head.
