The bad, the Good and the Beautiful

Post by paddledog » Sun Aug 02, 2009 9:50 am

First the bad................

Thieves are at it again.
Not boat thieves but low life idiots without even the smallest of brain cells to rub together.
The USV or as some know it, the Juggernaut, was broken into and violated.
Those who have been shuttled by the Ultimate Shuttle Vehicle
will notice there is a flat screen TV and a Playstation II missing from this pic.

Yup, broke the woodwork and ripped it out.
The last laugh was on me though,
In order to get the flat screen as thin as possible I had removed all the back shields
and stands from the TV. When the snake belly yanked the TV out, the power cord and
all of the connectors ripped loose and were left behind. He took the PS2, however again
he left all the power cords and connectors, as well as the wireless controllers. Both units
are ruined for use. Take that you bastard.

Now for the good.
In an effort to control rust and deterioration some body work was necessary for the 1979 vintage
Chevy step-van.
The boys at MHC Kenworth in Springdale had the paint booth large enough to accommodate a truck
of this size. I spoke with Terry, head of the body shop, he said he would take good care of her.
Opie and his team of workers went to work on her.

With a few weeks work and several different shops involved (window tinting, glass installers etc...)
The results were worth the wait.

So look for the new and improved version of the Juggernaut cruising the back roads lookin' for
some of that rumored Arkansas whitewater.
Same great paddlers, different wrapper.
Fighting for peace........
Isn't that like screaming for quiet?

Sorry for your loss PD, I can't stomach thieves! Rotten little inbreeders.
Anyway, the van looks great man! It's a BAMF!
