Well folks one of those mid-summer events happened over the Cossatot watershed late yesterday. The graph this morning is quite spectacular!

I will be leaving Little Rock around 9AM. Would love some company.

I have the afternoon off and tomorrow (the 28th) off as well. Looks like more rain is coming our way. Jason Albrecht and I were tossing around the idea of an afternoon run, camping tonight, then running it tomorrow. Anyone interested?

We sure enough had fun.
Image

Byron at the Ed Banks Bridge. You can sortta gather the water line and the level from the shot. It was fairly well flowing over Ed Banks. We were excited.

Image

James at the putin smiling away.

Image

Byron working out in the ledge hole below the first named rapid from the putin. I can't remember the name of it but ya'll know the one.

Image

Personal favorite shot of the day. Roy running over the top and down the gut on the machine. We had several folks try several lines at the Machine. James probed the far left boof slot. Jessica and Byron came from the lefty line and that was smooth.

Image

Obligatory self portrait of team photographer.

Image

By george would you look at that! My middle toe is longer than the others.

Image

James properly executing the hairy ferry above Whiplash. Note the wet rock in the foreground. That was from the rain because it rained on us the whole day! Sometimes maintenance, sometimes a little heavier. But rain it was.

Image

Going old school in the long boat at Shoulder Bone. How long has it been since you've seen a shot like this?

We ran the rest of the way down to Hwy 4 bridge. For two miles below the falls we leaped frogged with a trio of Blue Herring Cranes. Everytime we'd get close to passing them they would jump up and fly farther downstream. They were flying good in the rain.
