West Cache cr?

Post by L.A.paddler » Mon Jul 27, 2009 5:45 am

I may be jinxing it here but a large storm is just getting to the Wicthita Mts. in Sw OK. West Cache may go this morning? I know it is long way for anybody in Arkansas, but I have have few people wanting me to let them know when it goes. It is one of Oklahomas best!

Terry,

Wish I could make it, but it doesn't look favorable.

I don't suppose there is a USGS gauge on this creek? Might be able to get Fish to add it to the list.

Not enough rain at Cache. Look at Clear - could be ripping right now.

So says Google Earth.
Let there be rain!

Yea, Jinxed it. There is a great prime though. Pine and Clear are looking pretty good though. I think Clear needs a little more but Pine may be there now?

Amos, there is no guage on West Cache. Right now I use oklahomamesonet.org (not exact address, but close). I also use the USGS of Jimmy cr and Lake Lawtonka to get a feel for the area.

I would bet clear is there, if you can get to it.

Pine and buck have not had the water of clear.

Clear HAS to be there. All red for storm total precip and inflow into Lake Sardis just hit 8500 cfs. And still raining.
Let there be rain!

West cache is probably there this morning. 1.6 last night and 2.12 in 48hrs. It holds water better than you would think. Any takers?
