The 43rd Annual National Invitational White River Canoe Race finished up today. What a great turnout this year. There were over a hundred scouts that participated in this 3 day 120 mile race from Bull Shoals to Batesville, AR on the White river. The results will be on the http://www.whiterivercanoerace.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; website shortly. There were several Arkansas crews represented and all did well. My crew, Crew 300 out of Russellville, finished 2nd in the open cruising class, 1st in the Boys Novice and Advanced aluminum canoe classes and 1st in the Girls Advanced aluminum canoe class. There were also teams from Little Rock, Pocahontas and Batesville Arkansas. The overall winners, in the cruising division, and keepers of the big travelling trophy was Crew 313 from Bogalusa LA. There were teams from CA, IN, MN, TX, AR, KS and LA, all had a great time.
