Some News from the Purdys

Post by Joe Purdy » Tue Jul 21, 2009 9:31 am

Hey guys and gals,
I know several of you have contacted me asking me why you have not seen us in a while. Some of you suspected Mel had killed me off... but this isn't the case.

We have known about this for a while but didnt want to talk about it until we were "out of the woods" so to speak.

Melanie has been diagnosed with two voracious parasites. They are living off her body and making her very sick and weak lately. She is constantly nauseated and can hardly eat a thing. She is currently taking vitamins and supplements to keep her strength up, but the little buggers just keep growing inside her. The doctor got pics of them yesterday and they have doubled in size since she last checked.
Luckily, the doctor says this should all be over in February when she will pass them and we'll bring them home.

Yes, Melanie is pregnant ... with Twins.
We wont know the sexes for another month.

So, if we seem to be avoiding you, we probably are, but for a reason. The doc expects the nausea to be gone in a couple of weeks, it's getting better now, and then you will be graced with our presence again soon.
I wanna leave this world the same way I came into it... naked, screaming, and covered in someone else's blood...

Whew! The first thing that came to mind was . . . uh . . . tick. . .

Congrats. Just be forewarned, they keep growing after you get them home. Also, when they have been there about 14 years they begin a very frustration metamorphosis. It takes about 8-10 years to get through it before your life returns to normal.
We are all afflicted with Cognitive Dissonance. The greater our religious, social, financial or political affiliation, the greater the affliction. We hear what we want to hear. We believe what we want to believe. Truth becomes irrelevant.

The parasitic effect is just starting once the pregnancy is over. :)
