First Timers Trip down the Ocoee

Jason and I are headed to the Ocoee August 7-10. We'll drive up on the 6th and paddle Fri-Sat-Sun. Meeting the Bearden crew from Springdale and will camp at Thunderock.

Looks like we will have a number of new kayakers who will be braving their first time down the Ocoee. Since I am such a hound for good carnage, all you first timers down the Ocoee folks are welcome to join us. Wouldn't mind having some old veterans along to help fish out the bodies and such either.

We will have a couple of raft crews, but the rafts are probably fully accounted for with paddlers.

Make sure that you hit the right-side boof at Tablesaw, miss the meat at Grumpy's, and don't get run over by a raft. Because y'all choose one of the busiest weekends of the whole summer to come up here.

Got to admire the lone rafter that road it out! Can you say, HIGH SIDE!!!

I think I would have bailed out and taken my chances swimming rather than taking a chance of getting window shaded!
