Or, you could just put out an email that says "Everybody plan to do the same thing you did last year..." and that would work for all areas you don't want to "improve"!

I left early last year because of the rain - "IF" my "better-half" isn't spending too much time at the UAMS Emergency Room - I'll work the club "store", as I have in years past.

Renee...

I'll be happy to head up the Dutch Oven Cookoff! Now, if someone would like to donate some prizes worthy of the great efforts of the DO crew... I'll be cooking just for fun again & plan to try out a new recipe I was recently offered... mmmmm!!

I'd also appreciate it if some of the regulars would commit to participate! Mike Byrum & Roger Head & Kim Little, Bobby Stout, Dave Reid & those of the female gender who have passed through with great dishes in years gone by but not tried again recently... you know who you are!

And, Roger's mother can not be a judge this year... even though she had the good taste to vote for me the last time Roger and I went head-to-head!!

So, break out your DOs and get to cooking!!

I will be delighted to give it a try again if we're in town, Larry. Roger is headed east this week. I know I shouldn't volunteer him, but maybe he could pick up donations at Lodge if Lodge is willing to donate them. (I know he's tied up and can't do the asking.) And if the asking can't be done by Wednesday, maybe some of the folks who head east at Labor Day could transport donations, if Lodge has made them.

I'd love to volunteer in some capacity. Last yr I was suppose to be helping with registration, but weather and health kept me home. I'd be happy to do that this year. I hear it's a good way for a newbie to meet folks, and living in TX, I don't get to do the meetings and only a few paddles, so I don't know as many folks as I'd like to. I would likely be driving up Fri afternoon, so I might want to work the later shift.
Let me know,
Leigh
