Buffalo River 6/18,6/19,6/20 Thurs. Fri. & Sat.

Post by AR-Nimrod » Sat Jun 13, 2009 8:05 am

We will be paddling somewhere on the Buffalo (depends on how long the boost it just got lasts or if it gets another boost) on these dates if anyone wants to get together and float. We can day float or overnight. Sat. will have to be a short or real early float (we got a 5 hr. drive home)(I say we; I mean I; wife and daughter will probably sleep :P ). We will probably base camp at Tyler Bend on Wed. night (may change depending on section(s) to be floated) . The more the merrier... 8) Any suggestions... :?:

Plan has changed a little. We will not be coming up until Thur. morning. Plan to be at Tyler Bend by noon, set up camp and hopefully float that afternoon.

My cell is 8 seven 0 eight 14 8 two eight 6

Fri. 6/19 probably gonna try the Gilbert to Maumee section as this is one of our river gaps. Thur. 6/18 afternoon run will be either Tyler Bend to Gilbert or Baker Ford to Tyler Bend. And if we float Sat. 6/20 it will most likely be the run we didn't take Thur. If someone wants to float a different section we could probably be talked into it.

Due to circumstances beyond my control this plan has been scrapped. We are still planning on floating; it's the when and where that is unknown. Note to married men when your wife says "whatever you think is best dear" she doesn't mean it. So tomorrow after a BIG detour to St. Paul we will wind up somewhere :?: on the Buffy.

Looks like it's a good thing nobody chimed in.
