Shoal Creek- dam?
I recall a discussion a few yrs back about the possibility of an attempt to dam shoal creek. Is anything going on currently? If so who, or what agency?
Re: Shoal Creek- dam?
Corp of Engineers is what I remember.
For some reason ?? Parts of logan and yell county dont's want to use the Arkansas River for a water supply and would rather have a dam on shoal creek.
That is only as accurate as my memory - which ain't too accurate !

Are Booneville and Paris on wells or do they use the river for their water source?

Tri County Regional Water District is the applicant.
See more at the following:
Corps Public Notice
Map and report
Most of the proposed project is on National Forest Land and some kind of land swap or purchase will have to be approved through the Forest Service.
Shelby,
Booneville and Paris have their own lakes as water supply and are not part of the this project at this time.
