Question about campgrounds on the mid Buffalo

Post by lbaker » Tue Jun 02, 2009 7:03 pm

I am coming up a day early for the Ozark Society Buffalo trip, since it's a long drive for me. I let the time get by me (end of school year= very busy time for teachers) and Tyler Bend (where we will put in) appears not to have availability other than group tent sites. I'm thinking Buffalo Pt would be a good alternative, any other suggestions?
Thanks,
leigh

If theirs nobody you know camped at Tyler Bend when you arrive, cruise to "Gilbert" just down river and just a few moments drive from there. Ben and Cindy at the General Store aka BCC has primitive camping, and cabins which are reservation items and are most always rented. And the Riverside Inn restaurant across the street has been providing some Awful good groceries for years. A quaint over populated little town of 37 or so. Don't get caught in rush hour traffic. That's all the local and long distance visitors swarming to dinner there.
