Big thanks to Gordon Black, Tom, Ryan, Kim, and all the others who made last weekend such a great weekend! Great friends, great instructors, great food, great weather (on Sunday, at least), great river, great water level.

Congrats newest members of the secret society of instructors. I trust you now have received your secret decoder rings and have been shown the secret handshake Now, who are ye and where did you have to go to certify? Inquiring minds want to know.

One of the coolest things you will get to experience is to see some of your own students become instructors. It is really gratifying to see. You will be able to spot those students in your classes and be able to watch them as they develop as paddlers. What kind of instructor they become will depend a lot on how they perceive you and your style.

Don't forget you are now always modeling technique, make sure it is worthy of being modeled.
