Feeling full of ourselves after kicking the Glover's @ss today, ARG plans to bring the Piney to its knees tomorrow.

ARG will be at full strength. Cap'n Downstream is rowing his bride in a bucket boat. Ranger Rick is rowing a Super Puma and bringing his son Jimbo (aka Pork Chop) and his main squeeze, Boom Boom. Jimbob (aka Lippo, Monkey Head, Branson Boy, Tulip Girl, etc.) is rowing Sugar Britches in a Super Puma. Contrarian that I am I think I'll paddle a Whitesell or XL13.

Friends of ARG will be well represented too. Ross will be there. Marcell is rowing Victoria. David Thrasher is going to row his new raft (Moravia's answer to the Super Puma). Tim Man is bringing his Puma and rowing his spouse (who is my first ex-wife's third husband's nephew's ex-wife).

We just called Dale and Pam but couldn't get a commitment (he mumbled something about waist high grass). We called Walter but he apparently prefers the kayak-infested waters of the Cossatot (that's OK - he hogs the wave at Surfin' Rapid anyway) (we thought about the Cossatot, but we're afraid nuclear war may break out between ACC members and non members, and we're allergic to radiation).

WARNING: paddling the Piney on Sunday carries an elevated risk of appearing in an ARG trip report (but the law enforcement presence cuts down on the nuclear weapons and Somali pirates, so that's a plus).

Marc and I would really like to volunteer to run sweep for such an grand expedition. :shock: We, of course, will be paddling tandem. We haven't figured out how to do anything differently. What time is the flotilla meeting?

Right now Pam and I and Dr. Monfee are 50/50(maybe 67/33 or 33/67). We are not sure we can survive a trip down mighty piney with all those Republican lawyers.

Patti - Delighted to hear you and Mark will be there! We're leaving LR at 8 a.m. and driving straight to Helton's. We should be there about 10ish? We figure we'll launch about 11 (because no matter when we leave or how much rigging out we have to do we always get on the water about 11).

We blew up 4 rafts and stacked them on Rick's trailer tonight, so we got that going for us.

Pam - We really don't care about Dale. It's you we want to see anyway.

I heard about them. Wasn't sure what river they were on. They're supposed to be BAD. They take your boat, paddle and PFD and give it to someone who doesn't float.

I know where some are they always seem to flip me, scratch my boat, and leave bruises; I just never knew they were called Obama rocks but it makes sense now. It has probably some Obama rocks that got Renee at the Falls.

Tim the only thing I'd bring you if I were present would be an extra large tube of Vagisil. Seriously dude, why you goin all soft on me? First I hear about the kayaking, now you're rafting. When you pulled that trifecta open boat, kayak, raft the Ocoee in one weekend, I thought it was cool at the time. Now I see it was just a bonafied gateway to sissiness.

Ryan, that's a lot of big talk from someone who decided to stay curled up in bed instead of coming out to paddle Sunday. You can't play if you don't show up.

Do we need to start over with the basics? Step one: get out of bed! Step two: go to bathroom mirror and say in a clear, direct voice 'I will not swim today!'
