I think we've done the Snow Creek run at just over 9 and it was still fun. Want to go tomorrow?

I was there yesterday at about 10? ft. There were some eddies, but most were gone. Still pretty fun, but not great for eddy hopping. It was also running about 1000cfs? I bet it'd take about 45' to run to the bridge if you don't stop. It starts to wash out at about 11 & above 13' it 's bank to bank and brown. Fast but flooded. Also, there's a tree in the road just down from the put in. You can make it over on right but it may get slick with the additional rain we're getting. Nogo or some of the upper creeks should be good tomorrow. The Ouachitas look like they're getting pounded too.

Let's try out Dave Creek in Fairfield Bay. It's an hour and a half from Little Rock. 2 miles long with a 0.4 mile lake paddle at the end, very very steep and rocky, one big fall (two if you want to do the put-in fall), two culvert portages.
What say?

I've paddled the last mile and it is real easy and big fun (two gals in rec kayaks made it thru fine). I've walked the top mile and expect most of it to be easy, pretty much straight shots, except for the first couple hundred yards which are boulder filled. There is an alternate put-in below the boulders if that section looks too rough. I can be ready to go by about 8:30. We could be on the creek easily by 11:00, allow 3 hours to run it, add an extra hour for unknowns, and be back in Little Rock by 4:30.

Let's meet at the K-Mart parking lot about 8:30. Is Laramy coming? I'll post a Dave Creek alert.
