TRIEING TO POST LINK ON wister lake level and release schedule . having probs. It will runn huge in the near future

but for now . check out the army corp. enge. wister lake level page tulsa dist. >>>over 5800cfs for optimal wave cond. :) 5000-5800 still sticky

under 4800-2500 good hole surfing

acc. on river right not to good at low levels but over 3000 it pulls you in on that side.

Scott, have you been at a good level? If so what do you think?
It could be worse, it could stop raining

I have only been once, think it was around 1800-2400. It was fun but too shallow and hard to get on. But the higher level looks sweet. Planning on spending this holiday weekend at Wister (probably Saturday) and Dierks (Sunday and Monday)

Is this definately holding and running for the weekend?
Might be a good alternate for something close at home for us. That way my husband gets to play, and I get to fish at the lake :)
Anyone planning on being there this weekend and/or camping?

and hey jo it'll hold unless it rains BIG if not , The plan is to release till the lake level is down to a managable level and that can and will take close to a mounth yup a mounth of good flows is what this lake is holden back and if the don't release than we will have the spillway to run (class 5+ due to the drops and holes huge holes when it's big but there may be a creekrun there rite before the spillway flows to max that at the corp. estimates at 20 to 50 thousand cfs . before that happens there may be a creek route that mabee ,mabee not to crazy. but yes there is good fishing in the lake .

Sorry, But I have surfed the wave at big levels too!! Ugh, can't a woman get some credit? I surfed it when it was really big with the big wave trains. And it was AWESOME!! The BEST!!! But I didn't get into it at 5000cfs because it looked a bit too sticky. I know we want it sticky so we can stay in it, but that was a bit rough... And i have surfed it at 1900 cfs, 2000 cfs, 3000 cfs, but at those levels you can't get in surfers right. they did use a rope to pull into it, but it was the only way to get in.
Several people are planning to come up during this weekend. Starting saturday. So, it would be great to have a big crowd of surfers there this weekend. Anyway, justin and "the guy from ft.smith" can vouch for me that I surfed it. so far i'm the only chick to surf it...
Ricky, give me some credit man

Hey Ricky, I may try and head that way this weekend. I'm not sure yet, but if everything works out here at home, then I may try to head up and camp a night or something. Anyone else gonna try and be there too?

Guess that answers my question. lol I hope to try and be up Saturday. I will need some directions however. Michelle, I think you have my number still, would you mind sending me some directions to it? Make them easy, I'm navigationally challenged. I will be coming from 1-30 in Benton.
Hope to see you all there!
