I'm considering the purchase of a solo, Wenonah canoe. From what I've learned so far, it was designed as a "down river racing boat," not as maneuvable as a standard whitewater canoe, and made of Kevlar.

The boat I'm considering is 20years old. Does Kevlar hold up that long?

Do you have any experience or helpful imput as to the C1W?
I already have two solo canoes; an old Mad River Courier, and a Mowhawk probe 12. I'm not asking to be told what I need to buy, but what do you know about using the C1W.

I couldn't find the C1-W model you described, but from what I've seen, if the price is right you couldn't go wrong. "It might be me though". If it's one that is extremely narrow, you are right assuming it will not turn well at all. If it widens to Twenty-eight or so inches, It should handle well in most any water.
I think I remember seeing a very narrow race boat some years back. This boat couldn't have barely been Two foot in overall width. I imagined it to be very unstable as well. But it was built as a downriver race boat.
Expensive boat new if it is Kevlar. If it has been kept out of the elements, it should be good to go. As my racerhead friends refer to composites, they are infinitely reparable.
That's all I have. Sorry you have to weigh those options.
