Hailstone Three Day Weekend

Post by Fish » Mon May 04, 2009 9:34 am

According to the Boxley gauge, Hailstone is still runnable at a pretty good level this morning. That's the third day in a row we've seen it at runnable levels. This stuff only happens once every 10 years I bet. Paddle 'em while you got 'em.

Working today,
Fish

Looks like Richland will run 5 straight days, maybe more if we get more rain. dale

Byron and I put on at 9:30, great day. His first time down, my first in an open boat (i.e. canoe). Guage was 4.8 when we went by around 2pm. Definately NOT TOO LOW, Viser. Low doesn't always mean don't go. Get some practice missing rocks!

Hahahaha Tim, like Dangerboy NEEDS practice!! Don't you know that Dangerboy ALWAYS dodges the rocks, and if somehow they get in his way, he chews them up and spits them out?? Truth be told I was kinda leaning towards coming up there but Richland sounded so nice running right outside the window, like the smooth voice of a beautiful siren singing "Please don't leave me". So I stayed, and we had a great day. Level was perfect, slightly less stressful than the previous days level of 4.6ish. Temps were warm, and I ran LSU for the first time, door #2. Getting to run Richland twice in one weekend equals pure heaven!!
