We made 2 laps on Spirits today at a big level, but I don't think it will be there on Sunday. Nick

Actually, Spirits ran big Sat. afternoon, and it doesn't need to be over the takeout or put-in bridges to run it. Takeout bridge never goes under (if it is, start gathering the animals two-by-two!). :) Put in bridge needs only maybe 1/4 full box-culvert to run it. It was over the bridge at the put in Sat. which is a very big level! And it actually held for some runs Sunday, though at a more modest level.

I was one of the lucky ones to accompany Ryan down Spirits. I've been wanting to run this for several years, but due to majority ruling, we always went somewhere else. I knew this weekend was going to provide a chance to run something new and exciting. I really enjoyed this short but really sweet little creek run. I might have been wishing for a few more inches of water, but for a first time run I was more than pleased.
I know a couple of peeps who would be glad to here I finally had a chance to paddle a creek boat I've owned for the last Two and a half years. Finally. I felt like I was at home in it. No prob with Bob.
I have to give major props to our shuttle driver for taking his Tahoe through the "Hell Hole" on the shuttle drive up. Thank you, and I graciously offer you a shuttle anywhere, anytime, on my dime. Wurd!
For not having paddled with Ryan and the others before, I was very pleased with the outcome and for the opportunity to paddle with such a well rounded group. I think I'd run anything with these fine folks. I really enjoyed this run, and am still smiling about it.
I hope I get the chance to paddle with this fine group again someday. I'm stoked for another micro creek. Got the boat to do it in. just haven't had the Op to use it till yesterday.

Thanks Tracy!

Hofman, Is that you? I too have had the pleasure of being escorted down Spirits by the local group. I'm hoping I'll get to see Hunter style it next time before he turns pro.

It are I. Bob Hoffman And after hearing of so many other little tributaries in the vicinity, I can't wait to get back up that way. I may have a smaller truck, But I can make the class six shuttles with it.

Spirits is by far better. I ran salt fork about 3-4 yrs ago and havent been back yet. Its a great creek but it dont have the gradient spirits does. I will say that when we ran it, it was late in the day when we had already ran lil mill and spirits and got to the putin and it still had good water. It makes me think that it holds better or has more h2o-shed. Keep it in mind if you make a long drive and all the other creeks arent big enough. Atleast you dont go home with dry gear. Not familair with moccasin but I bet Fish or Dog are or have atleast looked at it. Great to hear you guys had fun on the creeks that us local guys have a hard time driving past when other stuff in the state is going!
