The Arkansas River race this year will be June 13th.
Registration is now open by going to http://www.paddlearkansas.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
There will a new starting place for the race this year, we will be starting from the west boat ramp at Murray Park. The finish line will be as always at I-30 bridge at the Arkansas Boathouse.
There will be one mass start with everyone paddling upstream a half mile and then will have a buoy turn and go down stream.
The total distance will be just under 7 miles.
This is a great time to get out on the river and see the beauty of paddling through downtown.
There is a backup plan in case of high water, we will have the race on Little Maumelle River.

I have a lot of entries in for the race ,looks like there will be a big turn out.
Try to get your entry in by June 1 so you will get a T shirt

The River level is great so everything is a big go ,get your entries in or you
can register the morning of the race.

Sure did see ya there. I`m going to do a practice run Sunday afternoon
at 2pm. I need to get the time keeper some practice. There will be no safety boats and paddle at your own risk.

I paddled the course this morning and the River is in great shape for the race . I hope to see ya there Sat morning!!!!

Great race and a great turn out with over 45 boats. Mike Herbert wins again
but I was close enough to see him finish

I liked the course, upstream was long enough to allow some seperation between boats but not too long to discourage recreational boater types. Dale and I made a nice little cut to the inside there at the island and were able to bypass a couple of kayaks. Also thanks for the prizes. Between your race and Outdoors Inc race I now have a full set of glasses.
