Great movie of the first successful run of the Tsangpo Gorge. Watch it hi-res and full screen, just be sure to pause it for awhile while it buffers.

I don't know what all the hubbub is about, the Tsangpo doesn't look any worse than the Cossattot at 8.0 feet. Anyway, I heard that the Tot was suppossed to be running at that level coming up on May 9th.
Also, if you don't already know, http://www.hulu.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; has free full length TV episodes, movies, clips, etc...

60 porters and satellite photos - they're not exactly "self-support" are they. :-) Man, that is a serious accomplishment. You see them portaging and hugging the banks, and still the best expedition kayakers in the world are getting thrown around and looking apprehensive... And still a good deal of the Tsangpo remains unrun... And this is at the lowest water level possible in the winter...
Puts our expeditions in perspective in a hurry. :)

Except this is thousands of miles away and we don't need porters either. 60 of them for support of a seven man team. How much beer would you have to pack mule in with you for that?
answer:
All of it
